Sinopsis: Old friends and veterans of Manhattan's late 70s downtown scene, writer and editor Glenn O'Brien and artist and collector Richard Prince share a love of the surface flotsam of American life--"we are both PhDs in American shtick," as O'Brien puts it. This beautifully bound, slip-cased volume marks their first collaboration, setting O'Brien's sparse verse alongside Prince's equally reduced black blobs in a mutual vocabulary of simplicity and humor of gesture. This limited edition of Human Nature comes with a print by Prince and is signed by Prince and O'Brien.

Comentario del autor: Glenn O'Brien was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He was editor and art director of "Andy Warhol's Interview" from 1970 to 1973, wrote the column "Glenn O'Brien's Beat" for "Interview" from 1978 to 1990. He has also worked as editor for "Rolling Stone", and "Spin" and has contributed to numerous magazines. O'Brien wrote the play "Lotto," which was performed at La Mama in 1989. He has created award winning advertising for Barneys New York and Calvin Klein and collaborated on two books with Madonna, "Sex", and "The Girlie Show". O'Brien produced and wrote the film "Downtown 81" with Jean Michel Basquiat which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival 2000 and will be realeased in April 2001. His books include "Soapbox: Essays, Diatribes, Homilies and Screeds" (Imschoot, 1998) and "The Style Guy" (Ballantine, 2000).
