Green cloth boards, black titles front and spine. 20.2 x 13.5cm. 168 pages. A comprehensive account of Hospital Social Work in England during the 1930's. It describes the aim and scope of the almoners' work in its different branches. Includes a chapter on the growth of the complicated English hospital system and traces the development of almoner's work from its inspiration by Sir Charles Loch to 1935. Also a chapter on training required. Condition: DJ scuffed top and bottom of spine, shelf rub on corners. General even age discolouration.
