Unusual gilt decoration on edges, gilt lines around the perimeter and gilt lettering/decoration on spine. In good condition. Covers are faded, especially along edges and spine. Lettering on spine is a bit faded. Corners are slightly bumped, causing some fraying to cloth there -- partially exposing boards. Front hinge is slightly split about one inch long at head and foot of spine. Cloth is chipped at head and foot of spine, just barely exposing spine strip. Front gutter is cracked, but binding remains secure and covers are firmly attached. Pages uncut. Black and white frontispiece. Pages a bit toned from age, but free of marks or tears throughout. Outside appearance is a bit worn, but inside contents are in good, readable condition.
