Scattered foxing, otherwise clean and tight in 19th century binding of green cloth spines and marbled boards, red leather labels with gilt lettering at spines, original printed wrappers bound into Volume II. OCLC: 457967101 Tiny ink notation in upper corner of front pastedown endpaper "de la bibliotheque/ d'Henri Froidevaux" -- Henri Froidevaux (1863-1954) was a French historian and geographer. Froidevaux was archivist and director of the Bibliothèque de la Société de Géographie since 1901 and authored many books on the French colonies, especially Guyana, Madagascar and Pondicherry.
