Descripción

Rather rough. 2 vol. set, octavo, brown leather with raised spine bands. Vol. I, 567 pp., Vol. II, 595 pp. Thorough history of settlement of the Ohio and Mississippi valleys, culture of the settlers, government, Indian wars, etc. from Western Pennsylvania and Apppalachians to Great Lakes areas to New Orleans, with a section on Texas. Both volumes solidly in one piece but with considerable scuffing to covers. Definitely a good reading or research set, but probably not giftable. Enough said of offerings which speak loudly for themselves. Acquire, enjoy, and share what the self-actualized author has discovered in his extensive intellectual travels to prepare this very informative writing for public edification. Experience the pleasure of reading and appreciating this actual printed item. It has its own physical history that imbues it with a permanent character lacking in transitory electronic renderings. As always, more photos and/or info will be sent on request. Indeed, these hallowed pages are stoic, self-reliant, certain, sure and competent in their worthiness. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
