London: Printed for T Gardiner, 1812, Second Edition. In contemporary full calf leather binding, INCOMPLETE with only 11 of the required 16 Maps and Plans. Worn and rubbed with gilt titles to red labels, splitting to the front joint of Vol I, rubbed with minor loss to the corners. Second Edition. Bound in period calf, titles in gilt on spines, raised bands with decorative gilt compartments. Tanned endpapers and leaf ends. Includes 11 numbered, fold-out maps of western Europe. Maps include the following: Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Citadel of Turin, and Siege of Alexandria. The printer released a revised and expanded version of the second edition in 1812, adding 5 additional maps (original second edition published 1801).
