About the Author:

A native New Orleanian, Monsignor Henry C. Bezou was ordained to the priesthood in 1938 at St. Louis Cathedral. Among his various ministries, he served as pastor of St. Francis Xavier, in the heart of Old Metairie, from 1967 to 1983. He is also the author of Metairie: A Tongue of Land to Pasture (pb). He died August 15, 1989.

Betsy Swanson earned a bachelor of fine arts degree with distinction in art from Newcomb College in 1959 and was awarded the master of fine arts by Tulane University in 1966. She is a coauthor of New Orleans Architecture Volume II: The American Sector (pb) and a photographer for New Orleans Architecture Volume VI: Faubourg TremÈ and the Bayou Road (pb). Ms. Swanson lives in Harahan, Louisiana.

Priority Mail (if requested) is $6.00 for a Flat Rate Envelope or $14.95 for a medium
flat rate box. Heavier books, sets, or items too large for priority flat rate
shipping are sent at cost. Please contact us regarding costs. All domestic orders over $20.00 are sent with delivery confirmation. Insurance is recommended on collectible or rare items.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS:
We ship by Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope whenever possible (if the books fit in the envelope without incurring damage during transit) at $24.95 for most countries except for Canada and Mexico which ship at $21.95 for a flat rate envelope.
Oversized books, book sets, and heavier books that do not fit into a flat rate envelope will require additional postage.
