Broadside, oblong folio, overall 17" x 11", engraved by Van Duivel Kind after Van Guzzel, has been partly folded at some time with partial split along fold, part of blank margin missing at top left hand corner (no engraved area affected), the whole tipped neatly onto backing sheet. A Satire issued as Government propaganda to encourage English people to rally against the Highlanders who were to be considered "barbaric". The engraving shows what was a peaceful village being attacked and pillaged by Jacobite Highlanders, whilst in the background an Army is seen marching towards the village. The local inn on the left hand side is called the "The Old Crown" the landlord of which is "George King". This was issued just before the Battles of Falkirk and Culloden. BM. No 2671.
