**VERY SCARCE BOOK**NOT EX-LIBRARY**NO REMAINDER MARKS**GIFT QUALITY**192 pages. Well-made book, bound in very sturdy orange cloth-covered boards, gilt-lettered spine. Book itself is essentially flawless, previous owner's name neatly on blank front endpapers, no other flaws. Book is exceptionally clean, bright and stain-free, square and straight, very firm and tight in its binding, no pages loose or missing. Hinges sound, corners sharp and unbumped. There is no other writing, underlining, highlighting, or markings of any kind in the book. The dustjacket is exceedingly clean and bright, stain-free, PRICE-CLIPPED but otherwise complete and intact, no tears, no chips, no pieces missing, no wrinkles, no creases, just a bit of very brief, widely scattered and faint edgewear, almost not enough to mention. Lovely, collectible copy of a surprisingly hard to find title. N° de ref. de la librería AB2569

Sinopsis: This totally new and brilliant approach to the Ibsen canon presents the plays as a single, cohesive exploration of the nature of consciousness. In addition, Lyons's close reading of the seven plays reveals Ibsen's major metaphors and demonstrates that the realistic form of nineteenth-century drama could encompass symbolism and work toward departures from realism.
