TRANSLATOR'S BIO: The translator was Magnús Paulson (1855-1923) (see Gegnir), an early Icelandic-Canadian immigrant who became a well-known educator and community leader in Manitoba Icelandic affairs. He was one of the first of his group of immigrants to learn English and as a consequence, he translated many English-language works into Icelandic. Translated from English/Á íslensku]. Several small handstamps to front pastedown and ffep, one f which is Betel Home foundation.
