Editorial: West India Committee, 1924
Descripción The West India Committee, London, 1924. Paper Over Board. Estado de conservación: Fair. First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. This intriguing book I have described as being "Fair" because at some time it has been badly attacked by some form of boring insect. It could be a bookworm, but the burrows are larger than those of the species we know in the UK. The damage affects the covers, and the first few text pages without any important loss. At the back, the damage is of a similar extent. The folding photo at the front and the folding map at the back are also perforated. The spine is missing, and the front cover is detached. So much for the bad news! The unaffected text covers history, political and social structure, meteorology, and agriculture and fauna. There are 14 full page text photographs apart from the two plates already referred to. A unique picture of these islands 80 years ago. Nº de ref. de la librería 000285
