Descripción Random House, New York, 1959. Hardcover. Estado de conservación: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very Good. 1st Edition. First edition first printing of the first novel written by Charles Farrell Myers. Who later took up the pen name Henry Farrell in writing the classic horror novel What Ever Happened to Baby Jane in 1960. The Hostage was made into a horrible movie called The Hostage in 1967 starring James Almanzar and Joanne Brown. Directed by Russell S. Doughten Jr. The movie claims to be the first movie ever filmed in Iowa. The book has two stamps from Meridian Films Limited on the first free end page and again on the dedication page. Meaning this could have been one of the film set copies given out. Sometimes such people as costume and wardrobe get a copy so they can get an idea as to what the setting is like. But there would not be many copies. There is some light rubbing to the surface of the front panel and two tears both a inch in length at the front edge of the spine right at the wrap around. In very good / very good condition. Language: eng. Nº de ref. de la librería 5183
