'A new edition', (1793), 12mo, 135 x 85 mm, 5¼ x 3¼ inches, quarter red roan, marbled boards, no lettering, pages: viii + 178. Engraved frontispiece, engraved title page with vignette of ship in a storm, plus 5 very good engraved plates. Head and tail of spine and spine edges slightly worn, upper hinge just starting to crack at top, slight offsetting from plates onto text, otherwise contents clean and bright. A very good copy. Roscoe J170(2). Collates exactly except that 6 pages of adverts at the end are not present. Prince Lee Boo was the Pelew Islander brought back to England by Captain Wilson, after the wreck of the 'Antelope' and who died in England in 1784 from smallpox. First published by E.
