Folio - over 12" - 15" tall. .**** This is an Old, Historic and Scarce Paper which has the Earmarks in Contents and Condition that could result in a Handsome increase in Value while in Your Possession **** -- This is an original, complete issue of 32 pages dated October 3, 1896 -- Vol. 40, No. 2076 -- Illustrated -- Covers and contents are tight, a small piece of paper missing about the size of a quarter on page 973 (does not intrude into illustration), nice condition -- This paper is technically referred to as a periodical, actually it is a Historical Document, recording events at the time of their occurrence -- The Front Cover has a full page illustration by W.A. Rogers titled "Monkeying With A 'Buzz-Saw' " -- Page 968 is a full page illustration by Louis Sonntag titled "The East River Bridge Between New York City and Brooklyn As It Will Appear When Completed" -- Pages 971 and 972 contains a lengthy article with 5 pictures titled "Trap Shooting" -- Page 973 has a large illustration by A.B. Frost titled "Somebody Blundered" depicting 2 men who apparantley hit each other with their cycles, bikes strewn on the ground and each man rubbing sore arm and leg -- Page 96 has a full page illustration by Frederic Remington titled "Moose Hunting--An Unexpected Shot" -- Page 977 has a full page illustration by Fernand Lungren titled "Stalking Antelope" -- Page 984 has a 1/2 page illustration by Frederic Remington titled "His Bag" depicting a duck hunter -- A very early full page advertisement of Milwaukee Beer -- This issue also has a portion of the serialization of "The Landlord" by William Dean Howells -- Many other illustrations, and articles related to events occurring at the time -- An excellent opportunity for the collector and researcher.
