Sinopsis: This book was published as the accompanying catalog to the exhibition H.C. Westermann - West held at the Richmond Art Center in the Fall of 1997. It shines new light on H. C. Westermann's influences on the California Art scene and documents many of his unique artistic contributions. It features 100+ black and white reproductions, 8 full-color plates, essays by Allan Frumkin, Peter Selz, David McCarthy, John Fitz Gibbon, Phil Linares, Phil Pasquini, Martha Westermann Renner, and reflections by artists and friends including William T. Wiley, Billy Al Bengston, Terry Allen, and others.

Biografía del autor: David King received his MA in sculpture from University of California, Davis in 1965. As an exhibiting sculptor he has had numerous shows on the West Coast. He is currently an instructor of sculpture and contemporary art at Diablo Valley College in the San Francisco bay area where he has taught since 1966.
