Husband and wife who look after the four cats who run the business. Penny and David and Kaos, Eris and Killishandra who replaced Pixel 18 y.o., Telzey 19 y.o and Meera 9 y.o. have all gone to the mousery in the sky ) and Penny has a great big letter S on her forehead ( stands for sucker ) and we now have Leeloo as a fourth cat. (Eris now stays at home guarding our brass bed, and doing the occasional rounds of the kitchen.) 2 shop locations (his and hers). It keeps him out of her hair which is proudly gray, (and she complains to her hairdresser that it's not going white quickly enough!) Stock in excess of 220,000 books (slowly putting them onto computer ) ( about 34,000 so far) About 40% of our stock is hard-cover, and of these OVER 80% are first editions. He gets grumpier as he gets older, and spends most of his time at his shop at 668 Glen Huntly Road, Caulfield Sth (route 67 tram); 9523 6686 or 0419 330 268 (Between Kooyong and Hawthorn Roads )( open 11.00 am until 5.00pm ish daily, but usually Thursdays) She's the most tolerant person he knows. ( She also has an incredible memory for trivia, true crime and other useless stuff ( like where is his only tie) ) and looks after the Cats, and runs the Chapel Street store. All books that we have, that have a dust wrapper or parts thereof, are covered with a clear, glossy, non adhesive library quality wrapper, or a backed sleeve if there is severe damage. We do NOT attempt to repair any books with tape of any type or glues. ( unless we give it to our friendly bookbinder Peter Zerbe ( boundwords@labyrinth.net.au ) Postage from Australia can often cost more than the cost of the book!
