Book condition: fair, very scarce, well worn copy, two volumes in one, filled with wonderful engravings and full page illustrations in stunning color, each volume features a main section of stories on a wide variety of subjects and are interspersed with poetry, reviews, music and engravings, half bound in leather and decorative paper the boards are heavily scuffed with wear to all corners and edges, spine is scuffed with a one by one inch flap at top left, front hinge cracked, signature on ffep, color frontis shows tear to bottom, right corner of title page missing, most of page one missing, light foxing throughout but clean and quite legible, binding firm, 470 and 380 pages, 6.5 X 10 inches.
