Arader Galleries, 1016 Madison Avenue in New York City, has for several decades been the leading American dealer in illustrated books (pre-1900) and prints (principally copperplate, with some early and important lithographic material). We pioneered the market for individual plates from John James Audubon's Birds of America. Maps are a particular strength, both in atlases and separately-issued. Our main book-genres are Americana, Voyages and Natural History. We are currently renovating our gallery at 29 E. 72nd St. (at Madison), where much of our inventory is held.
