But this isnt a detective story. One of the main points in the book is to show the absence of freedom of speech, especially for journalists in Russia. In the book you will see the psychological side of Russian cops. How the officers tend to prove themselves by physically and psychologically breaking people by having a prior status i. e. having the badge. The tragic results of the womans sons first syringe, which had a dreadful affect on the whole family, first of all destroying the mother and the family, then himself. The book has glimpse of the communist regime as well. The book has 2-parts: Russia - England. The main character in the book had to leave Russia. A clear comparison is shown between the British police force and the Russian police, the characters private life, the Russian crime in London and other. About the Author:

Adelya Copeland, Born and raised in RussiaMany years worked as teacher teaching Russian language and literature. For the last several years before moved to UK, occupation was - press-secretary of Gasprom. Several things in this book are based on evens from the author's life and others are from her environment and close peoples lives.
