7 3/8" x 10 1/2", 303 pp., teal cloth with gilt titles, speckled text block edges, in slipcase, #467 of SIGNED LIMITED EDITION. A handsome volume in Near Fine condition with only a FO name and adress on the blue FFEP (yet the blue ink rather blends in with the darker blue endpaper); otherwise Fine. The slipcase about Good Plus: a few splits, sunning around the edges, a 4-inch area of staining, not too attractrive, but then again only the thin edges of the opening really show on a full bookshelf: the book's attractive spine, in two shades of teal with gilt titling and decoration, compensate for the slipcase's faults. See photo. "A marvelously detailed and illustrated book about the wonderfully-named 'Glory of the Seas' -- built in 1869 by the great Donald McKay -- and the exciting grain runs between Sydney and San Francisco, bucking dirty weather off Cape Horn, plying the Atlantic to England; the men who sailed her, owners, brokers, charterers. Good human interest stories." - publisher. N° de ref. del artículo 02048
