Descripción

Post-production Release Dialogue script for the 1934 film. Owner name in pencil ("Irene Scott") on the title page, but her association with the film is yet undetermined. Rubber-stamped by Paramount Productions, Inc., on the title page, as "FILE: 3450 / ENTERED: 12/5/04." Based on a short story by Fields writing as "Charles Bogle," about a hapless shop owner who, fed up with the neighbors and with his worrying wife, spends his days sleeping on the shop's porch, and moves with his family to California to operate an orange orchard. When they arrive, the orchard is only a single, weary tree, and their land is in disarray. The porch sequence from this film was expanded from one in the silent film, "It's the Old Army Game" (1926, featuring Louise Brooks), and "It's a Gift" is considered one of Fields' funniest films. Tall white self titled wrappers, dated November 17, 1934, noting 7 reels and footage of 6105 feet, mimeograph. Very Good plus, last leaf is detached but present. N° de ref. de la librería 131416
