1910 8vo, 71pp, succeeded by 50 or so blank pages. Rebound in maroon cloth with lavender leather spine label, red waxed upper edge. Pictorial cover printed in black, red, and yellow; with author's portrait appearing both on the cover and the title page. This copy is inscibed by the author, familiarly known as "Corinto y Oro", on the copyright page. An admirable account of the bullfighting brethren, early writing from the author's distinguished career as a bullfighting critic. Generally in near fine condition with minor rubbing to the spine ends. Bull-themed bookplate on the front pastedown, marking this volume as being from the collection of James J. Nieto, a senior member of Club Taurino, the oldest bullfighting club in America, and most prodigous collector of bullfighting books, as noted in the New York Times (Lewine, Edward. "MAKING IT WORK; Unapologetic About Bullfights," June 23, 1996). N° de ref. de la librería z02362
