This book provides guidelines for general cargo ships designed with one or more decks for the carriage of diverse forms of dry cargo. It includes a review of survey preparation guidelines that covers safety aspects related to the performance of the survey, the necessary access facilities and the preparation to be undertaken before the surveys can be carried out. An important feature of this manual is a section illustrating examples of structural deterioration and the damages related to each structural area, providing details of what to look for, possible cause and the recommended repair methods considered to be appropriate.

The bookshop is situated at 5 Back Wynd, off the main thoroughfare of Union Streetin the heart of historic Aberdeen, and is open Monday to Saturday, 9.30 am - 5.30 pm with late night opening on a Thursday till 7 pm. We are also open on Sundays from noon - 4pm. We have a constantly changing stock of approximately 7,000 books as well as music and videos. The aim of this shop is to support Oxfam in its various programmes.
