Not dated but c1880. Presumed first edition as Nisbet's practice was to date subsequent editions and printings. Lovely late Victorian pictorial cloth boards depicting schoolboy in cricket gear reading on a chair (on front) and schoolboy with book under arm (on spine). Monochrome frontis. illustration. Boards a little rubbed and rounded at edges with some spotting. Lightly frayed around spine. Some mild signs of old water damage. Pencil inscription on fpdep dated 1912.
