8vo., Seventh Edition, on laid paper, with an engraved frontispiece and several engraved head- and tail-pieces; neat eighteenth century signature on frontispiece recto; eighteenth century calf, very neatly rebacked in calf to style, back with five raised bands, second compartment with red leather label lettered and ruled in gilt, hand-made endpapers to style, a very good, bright, crisp, clean copy. An unusually well-preserved copy with particularly clean, crisp text. First published in 1731, the Kalendar is the most popular of Miller's smaller works. The allegorical frontispiece is by John Pine, an accomplished engraver and friend of Hogarth. The section relating to the Nursery was first included in the third edition of 1734. Henrey 1134.
