Descripción:

Unpag. Each year, Wilson self-published a small chapbook, as a holiday greeting, and then sent them to around 300 colleagues and customers. This example recreates one of Barnes's first published writings, that had originally appeared in Pearson's Magazine for Oct. 1916. This first printing in book form was printed by Najda Editions for Robert A. Wilson who ran the Phoenix Bookshop, which was located for many years [1962 to 1988] in the West Village, just a few blocks from where Miss Barnes was living. Wilson is also the bibliographer of Gertrude Stein, Gregory Corso, and Denise Levertov, as well as the publisher of forty-three books including the work of Gertrude Stein, Marianne Moore, W.H. Auden, Allen Ginsberg, Elizabeth Bishop, and Richard Wilbur. In his introduction to the chapbook Wilson states that Barnes had apparently forgotten the piece, and that it was also unknown to her bibliographer. Bound in original full brown cloth with printed title label on the spine. Number 24 of of a limited edition of 300 numbered copies illustrated with the black and white drawings that accompanied the original magazine appearance. A fine copy of an uncommon book. 8vo. N° de ref. de la librería
