Light edgewear, rubbing to corners and spine ends. One horizontal closed tear to the spine cloth near the head. Previous owner's signature on front endpaper. Otherwise unmarked, binding sound. No dust jacket. Adams (Six Guns) 458, says Coe was a good friend of Billy the Kid (but not an outlaw himself), who "as a participant in the Lincoln County War, gives.a fairly accurate account of the affair and the Kid's activities," although his dates are not always correct, and there are some inaccuracies in his biographical information about the Kid.
