Our children have every opportunity to succeed in a hearing world. As parents, our challenge is fighting a system that doesn't support our decision for them to do so. Why aren't all of the communication options given to us when our children are first diagnosed with a hearing loss? How many of you are in battles with your insurance company? The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act was designed to give all students a free and appropriate public education. Why don't these funds automatically follow our children to oral schools?
