"The design of the following work is to exhibit in a form as little repulsive as the nature of the subject will allow, some of the phenomena of Religious Intolerance, especially as it has been displayed in a protestant form." Starts with the story of Wycliffe. A probable first edition with 36 engravings. A number of the pages have been very rough cut, the front cover is stained and there is a gift inscription dated 1859 on the fly leaf. The binding is still very solid however and the interior is clean and unfoxed with one or two pages still uncut. N° de ref. de la librería 009198
