There is as much information as is known on each piece and sometimes the maker is identified, and photographs of the pieces. Old colorful painted pieces are shown in their original riotous splendor ; pieces made by skilled folk furniture makers are shown, as well as pieces in their rustic glory made by farmers who utilized whatever was at hand, including fruit crates! Church chandeliers expertly made, as well as elegant but homey pieces, such as a large spoon, cupboards, benches, couches, bench beds , pail bench , cradles , chairs, and more. Some are in a plainer finish; some were done with the splendid design of old Russia and Germany from whence some of the peoples came to settle the land.
