Descripción Alan Ross, 1967. First edition. Inscribed by the author on half-title, 'To its first kindly and helpful critic, with gratitude, Cuthbert'. Very good copy in price-clipped dust jacket. An autobiography that received laudatory reviews from Cyril Connolly, Philip Toynbee, and many others; the 'first kindly and helpful critic' had presumably read it in manuscript form. Descripción Alan Ross Ltd., London, 1967. Cloth. Estado de conservación: Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very Good. First Edition. HB. On the half-title page there is a gift inscr. in black ink "with love and best wishes from Jonathan Miller" accompanied by a curious curly headed figure pointing up to the signature. The famous polymath Jonathan Miller was born in 1934 and went to Cambridge and a pic of his signature from a credible Internet website is very similar. So altho' I cannot guarantee authenticity it seems exceedingly likely. Black cloth boards with bright gilt lettering to spine. Pictorial eps. 213 pages. Book tight and clean.
