Descripción

Red printed wrappers. 4to. 262pp. Illustrated. Text in French. Genealogy of the de Barry family of Anglo-Norman origin. Its founder, Odo, was a Norman knight who took part in the Norman Conquest of England during the 11th century. For his service he was given extensive land holdings throughout Wales and Ireland. The book is illustrated with numerous photographs and plates of family members, coats of arms, estates, etc. A scarce genealogy. WorldCat locates only 1 copy at the National Library of Scotland. A fair copy with some spotting and edgewear to the covers and some chipping to the spine near the top. The text is good with some foxing throughout. The textblock is split down the middle in the center of the book. Some of the pages are still uncut and several pages have been roughly opened and are chipped in the margin.
