VERY RARE hardcover book, sorry no dust-jacket. "English-Irish Phrase Dictionary" By Rev. L. McKenna. This book is believed to be the Second Edtion, published by M. H. Gill & Son, Ltd., 1922. 8vo, 21 cm x 13.8 cm x 2.3 cm, Blue paper-covered boards, Red cloth-covered spine, Black lettering on front cover. 285 pages. Weight: 448 Grams. CONTENTS IN VERY GOOD CLEAN CONDITION!!! However, there are several cracks throughout the book. Cloth on spine is split alongside back cover from the head down, all hinges exposed, cloth is split alongside front cover near head, it is also frayed either end, some cloth is is missing from tail. Cover is marked and discoloured in places, scratched, edge wear. Corners are bumped, boards & paper on covers worn away a little. Split and tear between 1st end paper and 1st free end paper. Writing indents on 1st free end paper. Corners of pages are curled, very few have tiny fold there. Small ink line in margin of page 157. Small tear either end of spine area & small ink line on last end paper. Light age tanning more pronounced in margins, edges and on end papers. VERY RARE ITEM, IDEAL FOR RE-BINDING!!!
