No date noted so circa ? 1935 to 1956? . Grey cloth spine and Near fine blind-stamped (tulle) decorated card covers. Staple bound within the cloth spine - staples are slightly rusting. VG Plus/Near Fine covers. HOWEVER - Internally the book has been damp at some point in the past, and from Plate 3 onwards the BOTTOM edges of the pages had been stuck together, so although all pages are now open, the blank bottom edges, and slightly into the edges of the plates, show signs of wrinkling, slight discolouration, and tears to some paper surfaces where the pages have been unstuck. Apart from this the book is VG, Clean, Tight and Bright. NO Inscriptions or other Marks. Approx 40 pp, including Adverts at the end for other books in the ' D-M-C Library' needlework series. 24 plates in b/w and colour with numerous patterns of lace, edgings, insertions, and powderings, preceded by an Introduction and Directions/Explanatory text with b/w text illustrations. Text in English. " Tulle netting is a favorite choice for special projects from wedding dresses and veils to ballet tutus because of its light, airy look. Decorative ornaments can also be made from tulle netting. It is frequently used to wrap up party favors and gifts, especially for weddings and baby showers. Scraps of tulle netting are sometimes used in quilting and crafts as well, to add texture to a project. Multicolored tulle netting is often used for this purpose, to create tulle flowers and other ornamental accents. ". Overall apart from the 'faults' as noted above, this is a Very Clean, Tight and Bright NEAR 'Very Good' copy of this early work. Others in this and other similar needlework series available - please enquire. ; D. M. C Library; Oblong 4to 11" - 13" tall Possibly a first in this form but presumably a Reprint of the original?.
