All items with text clear and entire. Item One: offprint, on one side of a piece of wove paper 25 x 18.5 cm. Good, on lightly-aged paper with some wear to extremities. Headed 'AQUAECULTURE, And the Artificial Propogation [sic] of the Danube Salmon in Bavaria, BY DR. WIMMER. | Re-printed from the Macclesfield Courier June 27, 1857.' The letter, dated 'Landshut, 11th June, 1857', is addressed to 'Thomas Ashworth, Esq.' and covers two columns of small print. Item Two: four-page offprint, on all sides of a grey-paper bifolium, leaf dimensions 20 x 12 cm. Very good. Headed 'ON PISICULTURE. - BY MONS. COSTE. | (From THE FIELD, June 5, 1858.) | PRACTICAL INFORMATION AS TO THE BEST MEANS OF TRANSPORTING THE OVA.' In small print. Item Three: offprint, on one side of a piece of laid paper 22.5 x 18 cm. Lightly creased and spotted. By Thomas Ashworth, headed 'FRENCH PISCICULTURAL ESTABLISHMENT AT HUNINGUE, NEAR BASLE. | (Extracted from The Field, 25th August, 1860.) In two columns of small print. Item Four: notice, in small print, on piece of laid paper 23.5 x 12 cm. Lightly creased. Headed 'CULTIVATION OF FISH.' and beginning 'Professor Dr. Fraas, of Munich, has supplied the latest information on the art of propagating and protecting salmon and other fish in Europe [.]'. Item Five: offprint, on one side of a piece of wove paper 25 x 18 cm. Good, on lightly creased and aged paper. Headed 'STORMONTFIELD PONDS - THE EXODUS OF 1861. | (From the Perthshire Journal, May 23, 1861.)' In two columns of small type. Item Six: offprint, on one side of a piece of watermarked wove paper 33.5 x 20.5 cm. Good, on lightly creased paper with small closed tear at head. Headed 'The Coquet as a Salmon River. | (From the "Newcastle Daily Journal," of Thursday, May 25, 1871.) | Mr. DICKSON, Clerk of the Peace for the County, has addressed the following letter on this subject to Mr. FRANCIS FRANCIS [of The Firs, Twickenham]'. In two columns of small type. Item Seven: on one side of a piece of wove paper 25 x 15 cm. Somewhat grubby and stained. Twenty-four line 'Notice to Anglers, Salmon Fishers and Others' by 'JAMES TAIT, W.S., KELSO, Clerk to the Tweed Commissioners', dated 'KELSO, 4th March, 1871.' Item Eight: on both sides of a piece of wove paper 13.5 x 16 cm. Ticket, not filled in, with recto headed 'Coquet Salmon Fisheries Conservancy', granting permission 'to fish with the rod' in a certain part of the Duke of Northumberland's portion of the river, 'Dated at Alnwick Castle, this day of 186 '.
