Descripción:

Contra im Tessin, 7. II. [1982], Gr.-4°. 1 Seite. An den Verlagslektor Hans Rössner (1910-1997): "[.] thank you for your good letter of Feb 5th about 'the self and its brain'. I suggest that you send to Sir Karl [Popper] the publishing arrangements that you would offer for the German translation. There are two other german publishers also interested and we would like to have such inpunation as 1) the number of books you would have printed, 2) the cost of the volume - it should be about 400 pages of the same size book as 'Das Gehirn des des Menschen' and there are about 55 figures - all black and white - much as for the other book 3) also the arrangements with respect to Royalties. I should mention that Sir Karl is very impressed by the translation 'Das Gehirn des Menschen'. Please inform Herr Piper of this praise from Sir Karl, who is very critical with respect to translations! I am pleased to hear that the sales are satisfactory. I should mention that I have already sent in for printing a 2nd edition of the English text. I could send you this for making a 2nd German edition if you wish. There are fairly extensive changes with addition of new material and elimination of some short sections and about 10 figures are changed [.]" - Selten. N° de ref. de la librería
