Numerous other illustrations throughout. Bound in original full vellum boards with gilt tooled lettering to spine and front board. Gilt top edges and lovely gilt patterned endpapers. In very good plus condition. Binding and hinges are intact and firm; pages are crisp, clean, and bright. Vellum boards are slightly bowed (as usual) with minor smudging and scuffing. Front endpaper bears the fine bookplate of Felix Reichmann, noted bookseller, collector, and art historian, printed in an attractive Gothic type. An attractive copy of an important work.
