Stapled black pictorial wrappers.32 p.; illus. Bottom cor.shows 2" creasemark, 1/4" tear at bottom of spine, minor creasing at spine, light staining: a better than average copy. One page contribution by Ondaatje, the above titled poem from his 1st book. Published months after the appearance of his 1st book, "Early Morning, From Kingston to Gananoque" was included in "The Dainty Monsters". This is likely the 1st separate edition of the poem. 'folio' was the literary arm of the University of Western Ontario's English department, and previously published such future giants as Alice Munro, Chrisopher Dewdney & James Reaney.
