8vo, cloth. Bd. I: xviii+601 pp.; Bd. II: xv+832 pp.; Bd. III: xiv+483 pp. This is a reprint of the 3 volumes of the original edition. (A 4th volume was published posthumously.) Volumes 1 and 2 are fine condition: tight, clean, and unmarked. Volume 3 appears to have suffered some very slight water damage in the form of a slight discoloring of the upper portions of the spine and covers, as well as of the top inch or so of the fore-edge of the book block; the contents, however, are unaffected (and there is no musty odor at all). There are also light (easily erasable) pencil markings in the margins of the first two hundred or so pages of volume 3. All the volumes are sturdily bound and well printed, and despite the imperfections noted this is a very acceptable set of Cassirer's classic work. Texts in German. No jackets [as issued].
