Título: The Dream
Editorial: Churchill Literary Foundation, 1987
THE DREAM, Churchill?s haunting essay about an imaginary (?) reunion with his father, originally written in 1947, was first published in the SUNDAY TELEGRAPH on 31 January, 1966. This is the first appearance in volume form. Issued in a numbered edition of 500 copies, bound in padded dark red leather, AEG, silk moire endpapers, colour centrespread. This book is crisp, clearly never read, no. 318/500. The hinges are just starting to show the tiny cracks, that every copy of this will eventually develop, as the leather employed was too thin.
