This doctoral thesis is concerned with experimental results of single and double-slit experiments in so called microwave billiards. These are electromagnetic resonators which enable the investigation of chaotic phenomena in the field of quantum physics, what is commonly known as quantum chaos. The results show a clear distinction of intensity patterns from the double-slit experiment depending on the shape of the resonator. About the Author:

Pedro Oria Iriarte was born on December 12th, 1982 in Pamplona (Spain). He studied physics at the university of Salamanca (Spain) and at the technical university of Darmstadt (Germany). From 2006 to 2010 he has been researching chaotic phenomena in the field of quantum physics at the institute of nuclear physics in Darmstadt.
