Scarce 5 cent weekly 32 page dime novel published by Street & Smith. "Stories of the most fascinating western romance". "Diamond Dick, his son Bertie, and that great hearted fellow Handsome Harry are self-appointed defenders of the weak and no crook or desperado can commit deeds of violence and escape paying the penalty when our heroes make up their minds to jail them." Most of the 9 issues in this lot are stored in a protective mylar sleeve. All are complete, flat copies with mostly still vibrant color covers but also typical imperfections. Dates range from Dec. 4, 1897 - Aug. 6 , 1910. Included are: #60 - Good: tanned fore edge, loose cover, rolled spine, burn hole on b.c. with black burn mark going through last few pages; #291 - Good: ink stamped name numerous times on cover, splitting and small chips/tears along spine, 3 small strips of tape (with name on tape) at heel; #372 - VG+: stamped name on cover; #391 - VG+: nice white covers with a thin sun darkened strip along fore edge and bottom corner chipping; #409 - Fine: tiny chip at bottom corner, very minor tanned strip along top edges; #601 - Good: vertical cover crease, crinkly b.c., penciled price on b.c., wear at fore edge and spine, separation at staples, quarter sized piece out of bottom edge of b.c.; #628 - Fair: All pages separated from one another - no staples, edges brittle, extra staple holes; #672 - Good: small ink stamped numbers stamps on cover, numerous bookstore ink stamps on inside front cover, and page 1. discoloration along spine of b.c., other wear; #721 - Good: over all wear, some soiling on cover, small penciled writing on b.c., damp stain on front edge of interior pages.
