Presumed First English printing. Full Leatherbound is overall in VERY GOOD condition. Expertly rebound in full leather, with gilt text and lines on spine. Pages were washed, and fresh coordinating pastedowns included. Uses the expected 17th century type/font. Binding was completed restored, resulting in a Fine looking exterior, and a snug casing. Interior is age-toned, with minimal scattered foxing and smudges, a few stains, and light edgewear evident in gentle corner bumps and tiny chips. Pages are barely warped, and one can see expected minor printing smudges as is typical of this vintage publication. Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks. Ink author's sig on partial original endpage in back, includes date of 1756. Text block edges are lightly deckled and dusty. Faded evidence indicates that all edges were likely inked at initial binding. Book may exhibit additional minor signs of age or wear. "Printed for John Garfield, at the Rolling-Press for Pictures, neer (sic) the Royal Exchange in Cornhill, over against Popes-head Alley" A scarce early English work on marriage and divorce. Two volumes in one, but only one full title page. Both are written as a conversation between 2 people. Biblical references were printed in margins. This early work (in the original Italian), from a time when books were truly rare and scarce, is still considered a book birthed by the Italian Renaissance movement. It could also be considered a very early treatise on polyamory--a subject being treated as new phenomena in the 21st century. 89 pages + 61 pages. 3.5 x 5.75 inches. Postage for oversized and international shipping will be calculated by size and weight. AbeBooks shipping quotes are ESTIMATES only. If actual shipping cost is less than the AbeBooks estimate, it is our practice to REFUND the difference to the buyer. N° de ref. del artículo 008234
