Purple cloth. Small quarto. 104pp. Bound volume for the trade issued by the Organic Chemicals Department Dyestuffs Division of DuPont. It contains 86 pages of multi-colored fabric samples all with the same pattern. According to the introduction: "The purpose of this books is to acquaint the customer with the variety of our developed dyes available for cotton dyeing and rayon piece-goods that art to be discharged and to aid in the selection of those best suited for his particular requirements". Only 2 copies of this book are located by WorldCat. This copy has the bookplate of the Pond Lily Company. A good copy with some rubbing and soiling to the cloth. The text is in good condition with some soiling and corner wear to some of the pages. The fabric samples are all present although two of them are torn and frayed.
