David Guest (1911-1938) was a mathematician, philosopher, musician and political worker, who died at the age of 27 fighting in the British Battalion of the International Brigade in Spain. In this memoir of his life, edited by his mother, many of his friends and colleagues have contributed, among them Harry Pollitt, Ivor Montagu, Professor de Sola Pinto and Professor Levy. The case of the book is in very good condition. The contents are tight and clean with some browning and light foxing on the endpapers. There is a private ex-libris label pasted onto the front fixed endpaper. The unclipped dustwrapper has shelf wear with some soiling and the spine is browned. The spine ends and corners are bumped with a very small piece missing from the top of the spine. The top front edge has a tear of about 1/2" that has been repaired on the reverse with tape. The wrapper is in an easily removed clear plastic protective cover. Size: 7.5" Tall. Nº de ref. del artículo: Spain051
