Sherwell, J. W. THE HISTORY OF THE GUILD OF SADDLERS. 1889. First edition. Printed for private circulation. Octavo, three-quarter bound leather boards with gilt stamped coat of arms on front board. Tooled spine. Marbled endpapers, five raised bands, with presentation plate on fpd; all edges gilt. Some rubbing/scuffing to leather. Binding tight, pages bright and clean; illustrated with several fold out plates, many of which were changed or altogether eliminated in the later edition. Presented to liverymen on admission to the Guild, this proved an invaluable resource for learning the history and the inner workings of the group and the trade. N° de ref. de la librería 71049
