Los Angeles: P.W. Holte, [1928]. 298pp. Original green cloth, gilt. Small paper label on spine. Near fine. Inscribed by the author to Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford on the front free endpaper: "To Mrs. [sic] and Mrs. Douglas Fairbanks with the compliments of the author M. de Bunnelle Steiger Hollywood, Calif., 1929." Fairbanks and Pickford, who were married in 1920, were Hollywood royalty in the Silent Film era, and two of the most famous movie stars in the world. Pickford was popularly known as "America's Sweetheart," and Fairbanks was the swashbuckling star of such silent classics as "The Mark of Zorro," "The Three Musketeers," The Thief of Baghdad," and "Robin Hood." With Charlie Chaplin and D.W. Griffith, Pickford and Fairbanks founded United Artists in 1919 and exerted tremendous power in the film industry. Books inscribed to this most famous couple are very rare indeed. N° de ref. de la librería 106
