Título: DELHI CORONATION DURBAR 1903. Two Part ...
Año de publicación: 1903
A two part panoramic image, each half pasted to a separate and now detached card album leaf, overall size 18 ins x 8.5 ins. A very strongly printed, rich image of the amphitheatre and the shamiana, viewed from a position behind the mounted herald and trumpeters. The image has four small photographs around the edges (titled in the negative "Jhind Retinue", "Hyderabad Arabs leaving Amphitheatre", Patiala Dwarf", "Native Retinue"). On the reverse of one leaf is a very good image (11.5 ins x 8.5 ins) showing the Imperial Cadet Corps leading the elephant procession towards the Durbar ground and on the reverse of the other leaf is a commercial photograph of the Hall of Public Audience in the Red Fort at Delhi (8 ins x 6 ins). The panorama is taken from a position well behind the trumpeters so gives an impressive view of the wide sweep of the amphitheatre and TRH Prince & Princess Arthur of Connaught are visible seated beneath the shamiana. Size: 18 x 8.5ins. N° de ref. de la librería 005245
