Fourteen chapters trace the history of railway signalling from the early days up to the time of publication with a final chapter being a look at the future. Five coloured drawings all present plus 26 black and white line drawings, some of which are pictures and others illustrations of signalling equipment such as disc and crossbar signal and Tyer's No. 7 tablet machine. The book is lacking its dustjacket and has a metal reinforced filing hole at the top of the spine of the binding. A previous owner's signature and date of purchase appears in blue ink on the flyleaf but overall the book is in very good condition with no foxing or browning of the paper., Book Weighs 299g.
