Estado de la sobrecubierta: Fair. 1st edition (2nd imp.). 8vo, blue cloth-covered bds, gold crossed sabers on fb with same device and title in gold on spine, sl. wear to corners and lower edges, light bump to top ft corner; mild rubbing to spine ends without loss, lt. dusting to top edge text bloc; "Billings Montana, July - 1955" written on ffep, internally clean and unmarked; illus with b&w photographs, pp.285; pictorial dj uniformly very lightly soiled, not price-clipped, considerable chipping, lacking bottom 1/3 of spine and a much smaller portion of lower back panel affecting the last few words of the last 5 lines, in archival cover. Taken from the letters of the author's mother, this volume gives a good look at army life of the 1870's. She and the author's father were friends of Custer, and Gibson narrowly missed being part of the massacre.
